Peripheral joint imaging: variations in normal children.

Imaging of peripheral joints is a simple and valu able technique for evaluating joint disease in adults (1-12). It has been shown to be a sensitive index of inflammatory activity, occasionally revealing synovitis before the roentgenogram, laboratory studies, or even physical examination is positive (1-13).
